Weston 4th of July Parade 2013

Pack 183 Scouts don’t miss your chance to show off your patriotic spirit and march along with other scouts in this year’s 4th of July Parade at Weston Town Center… Pack 183 will be participating in this year’s parade with our first ever 4th of July float themed “Let’s Go Camping”…

We all will be meeting on Town Center Blvd at the Weston Towne Center at 10 AM to setup and prepare for the parade that starts at 10:30 AM… Some Scouts will be riding on the float and others will be marching alongside and handing out candy… Scouts and Leaders must dress in Class A uniform; Scout Siblings can wear their class B t-shirts…

We will have flags for you to waive but if you still have yours from the Memorial Day Parade please bring it along…

We need your help building our float on Sunday June 30th at 1:00 PM at 2801 SW 108 Way in Davie; we will be providing a Pizza lunch at 2PM for everyone who helps out… Please RSVP to SouthernPR@GMAIL.com so we can have an idea of how many Scouts and Scout siblings to expect… See you there!

Strikers Soccer Game – Summertime Activity

Saturday June 29 is Boy Scout night at the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers soccer game.  This is is a summer activity being organized by the Pack.  The game starts at 7:30pm but from 5:30-6:30pm youths will have the opportunity to do the requirements for the soccer belt loop with actual members of the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers.  At halftime of the game all scouts who participate in the soccer clinic will be able to go onto the field and be presented with a certificate of accomplishment (belt loops will be handed out at the September pack meeting).
Does your scout have a friend who is interested in joining scouting or maybe wants to take in a soccer game together?  This is a great opportunity to introduce friends to Pack 183 and a great chance to recruit new scouts into the pack.
Date:  Saturday June 29, 2013
Time:  5:30-6:30pm Soccer belt loop clinic / 7:30pm Kickoff 
Place:  Lockhart Stadium Directions to Lockhart Stadium
Cost:  $10
 
If you are interested in going please let Jeff know how many people will be attending by June 21.  Payment can be made at the game or you can mail a check.  Please make all checks payable to “Pack 183”.
Remember – To qualify for the summertime award a scout must attend 3 summer events.  This Strikers game will count as one of the three.
