The Pine Island District Fishing Derby is open to Cub Scouts and their siblings on Saturday, October 15 from 8:30am – 12pm at Camp Elmore in Davie, to learn skills like tying knots, casting, bait preparation, fish identification, proper fish release methods. Activities? Fishing contest with prizes awarded for biggest fish caught by a Tiger, Wolf, Bear, WEBELOS and Sibling. Special recognition trophy for Most Fish Caught overall and the Smallest Catch. Be sure and bring your lucky tackle and bait! But some will be available for you. Bring your own snacks if needed. Water will be provided but bring a cup.
